I'm as happy as a dog with 7 tails! Tonight I got an email message from a Legal Instruments Examiner from the BATF that if I would send in a newly filled in Form 6 NIA with all the necessary extra paperwork, that my Dutch custom made AR15 will be allowed into the United States on a multiple temporary import permit! This means that next time I make it to the Shoot, I will be competing in the Assault Rifle Match with my own rifle!
I know it sounds a bit over the top for just 1 match but for me it's also the experience of checking how the system works and how it works to physically take a rifle with me on a trip like this. On top of that: you always perform better with your own hardware ![]() And you never know, I might try a few more matches during the year ![]() Here's a picture. Some changes: Miculek compensator with additional holes in the top and the cheapo scope has been replaced with an Eotech 557 which I could borrow for testing. ![]() |
